Mexican Folk Art (10–12”)
Handmade Mexican Tonalá “barro bruñido” (burnished pottery) jar with incised fish and leafy scrolls on a warm red slip. Classic rounded shoulder form with short neck; polished, unglazed surface. Likely mid- to late-20th century folk art. Condition: very good vintage—normal light rubs from age; no obvious cracks or repairs. See photos for close-ups. Great statement piece for shelf, entry table, or Southwestern/Mexican décor.
